Amy Tinkler turned 17 on Thursday. The 2016 Olympic floor exercise bronze medalist and the 2015 British all-around champion is our Floor Friday featured gymnast.

Amy Tinkler won the bronze medal in the floor exercise with a score of 14.933, finishing behind Simone Biles and Aly Raisman. She was the second British woman, after Beth Tweddle, to win a gymnastics medal in Olympics history.
‘I went out there and did my best and enjoyed it so whatever the result, I would have been happy. I really am speechless.
‘I put no pressure on myself and neither did my coaches. They just told me I had nothing to lose and to go out and enjoy it. I had made the floor final at the Olympics and deserved to be in it so I enjoyed it.
‘As soon as I finished my routine, I knew I couldn’t do any better.
